Vacation

Ankles crossed!

Day Three: Wild River Country

Had a wonderful time at Wild River Country. Madeline loved the wave pool, tolerated the lazy river and actually went down the little slide with me. When we got there I gave her a little pep talk about how Mommy would never ask her to do anything that wouldn't be fun and that if she would trust me that we would have a really good time. I took her over to the area with all of the water slides and said, "Do you see that one? Would you get on that tube by yourself and ride down that one? It's not scary." She said, "Yeah, yeah, I trust you Mom, now come on, let's go!"

I thought she was too big for the baby pool but she asked me to get her a cup "with nothing in it" and asked us to take her to the baby pool. She wanted to spend the rest of the afternoon there filling up and pouring out her cup.

She threw the biggest fit I have ever seen when we had to leave (she was getting pink). We sat her in time out in the parking lot but she didn't calm down until half way home- then she told us she was sorry for acting so bad.

It was a fun day but I would NEVER attempt it with Tucker and Madeline by myself.
