Updates

Tucker turned THREE MONTHS OLD yesterday. Chloe, Madeline and the Martins sang him happy birthday last night. The girls had been making "birthday cakes" for everyone and singing for a while when we remembered that it really was Tucker's birthday!

We think that he rolled over yesterday. Tyler put him down for a nap on his tummy and I fell asleep on the couch- almost. Tucker woke up and I let him cry for a minute or two to see if he would go back to sleep. He didn't. He got really mad before I got in there and I found him on his back. It was an angry roll. We'll test him today to see if he can do a happy roll.

Madeline is no longer wearing pull ups to bed. We had a "girl day" yesterday and went to Wal Mart to buy panties and to Firefly to pick up our Mother's Day platters and paint a princess bank. She is so grown up. I am looking forward to this summer. Tucker is becoming easier and less needy so I think the three of us will have a lot of fun together. I'm devising a schedule in my mind so that we will have activities to keep us busy and happy.

My babies are sweet for the most part. Tucker has an endless number of smiles when he is awake and fed- before he gets tired (about a 2 hour window). Madeline is still my sweet girl but is testing me and the world around her. This week she painted our white trim with red lip gloss and treated our wood foot board with lotion (coated the entire thing with it while I had my back to her feeding Tucker). After she finished doing the lip gloss art work she walked into the kitchen and said, "come see this, what do you think?" She had her hands up next to her asking the question- it's the gestures that kill me. I was laughing so hard. Tyler was trying to keep a straight face but his belly was moving in and out with laughter. When she "polished" our bed with the lotion I asked her why on earth she had done that and she told me that she thought I would think it was funny. I did. Kind of.

Well, think about me during my first full week with 2 kids 'round the clock. Maybe we'll see you at the pool, or library, or zoo, or park...
