Tyler judges horse shows. Every year the season starts up and Tyler is bombarded with telephone calls asking him to judge all over Arkansas. This year he got the first call of the season and I held my breath in the kitchen listening to him talk on his phone in the living room. I heard him say that we were expecting our second child and that he wasn't going to judge this year...that he wanted to stay home with us. I teared up and hugged him tight. I wouldn't have asked him not to judge but it meant so much to me that he wanted to stay home with us.
Tonight he was on the phone with a friend and mentioned selling his boat (again). He brings it up every few months and I always tell him that I don't want him to sell it...I have these daydreams of Tyler and the kids out fishing...so sweet. He thinks he should sell it because he never gets to go out and use it. I heard him tell one of our friends something like that it used to be so important to him to get out and fish but once we had Madeline it was so much more fun to him to stay home with us.
So, thanks Tyler. Thank you for loving to hang out with us most of all. Thank you for going to the range or only playing 9 holes instead of 18. Thank you most of all for doing these things without me asking. We love having you around.
