Baby A and Baby B

Tucker is asleep for the second time all day and all night. I know it won't last long so I will just write a quick update.

He is 6 weeks and 3 days old. Now, if you keep up with my blog you know that just 2 short weeks ago he weighed 9lbs and 2oz...he now weighs 11lbs and 2oz. 2lbs in 2 weeks. I don't know what else to say about that except that I am tired.

He smiles ALL THE TIME. They are a collection of the cutest smiles I have ever seen. Madeline didn't smile until around 8 weeks so this is very welcome. I NEED those smiles. He needs those smiles for self preservation. He has seriously not napped for longer than 25 minutes today. I can't get him to take a long rest. Last night we were up all night because he had gas and was spitting up a lot- I can't eat salsa or spicy lobster rolls any more. I am grieving over the loss of both. I needed a nap so bad today but he never took one so neither could I. I was soooo aggravated with the situation and just when I thought I was going to pass out from exhaustion he started smiling at me and continued to throughout the day. He still lives here with me because he smiles.

Madeline is 3. We had a great couple of birthday parties for her. I got teary eyed when we sang her "Happy Birthday." So much of my time with Tucker is spent feeling nostalgic for Madeline. I can't believe time has passed so fast with her. I am trying so hard to remember that with Tucker and not let myself get too overwhelmed.

I'll post new pictures and write more later...think I'll sleep for a minute or two now as well.

Oh, one more thing...I wish someone were here today to film me walking back and forth from one baby's room to the other's and back again over and over and over trying so hard to get both of them down for a nap at the same time. It was so ridiculous that it was funny. I would hear Madeline get out of her bed and go to her, get her tucked back in, and then Tucker would begin to stir. This happened like 5 or 6 times. I gave up. Got Tucker out of his bed and brought him to mine and finally fell asleep just in time for Madeline to wake up. I still can't figure out how to fit making dinner into this chaos! Don't get me wrong, though. It is fun chaos. Thank goodness I have a husband that helps me laugh about it and doesn't mind eating cereal.
