Sleeping

TUCKER SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! I, on the other hand, only slept for about 3 hours but this is how I know for sure that he slept through the night because I watched him for most of it!

He had his last feeding at 11pm and then slept until 6am. He started wiggling around at about 3 but I gave him his pacifier and he went right back to sleep.

I have a sinus infection of allergies or something- that's what kept me up all night. I cannot sleep when I have to breathe through my mouth. It was awful! Slobbering and snotting everywhere. I just laid there trying not to move because I wanted Tucker to sleep and I didn't want to wake up Tyler. Finally at 3 I had had it and I got Tyler to go and get me a Mucinex and that did the trick.

Anyway, that is my exciting news. Also I lost 2 pounds last week on the challenge. Not the drastic results one hopes for but a loss. That's good. OH, and we took Madeline to Disney on Ice last night. Her face lit up when Mickey and crew hit the ice. It was so fun. I love the times with her when she is so full of innocent joy. Her little life can be so full of rules and discipline sometimes. It is wonderful when it is full of joy. Just joy.

I also thought of something today that I wanted to make sure I wrote down so I would remember. I love that before Madeline gets out of bed every morning she takes the time to place her "bunny" right in the middle of her pillow and covers him up- just to his chin. Also every night she cuddles up with him and makes sure that he is facing the right direction (face up) and that the covers aren't pulled to high over his face. Pretty sweet.

Another thing- I think it is really cool that Tyler and I are so alike in a lot of ways- the important ways. Just one example that came to mind recently occurred to me while we were listing to Don Williams at his office (he listens to music all day while he works, Tucker and I had stopped by for a visit and Tyler popped in Don Williams)...I think it is really neat that Tyler and I have the same love and nostalgia for the country music that we both grew up listening to with our parents. Good, old, storytelling country. It's good stuff. I love it when we are driving and the kids are quiet or sleeping and this great music is the soundtrack to their childhood just like it was to ours.

That's all. I'm happy. Sleepy and happy.
