So, after some discussion I have gone "back to work." In quotations because I have been hard at work here at home for oh, 3 and a half years now, but after 7 months home with Tucker and working from home getting harder and harder with a very active and awake baby boy I decided it was time to call in back up and get into the office.
But the world has been spinning without me! The office is different, the people are different, and the fax machine, OMG, the fax machine is like...I don't even know how to describe it! AND come to find out, people don't even fax anymore. In 7 months the world has pretty much done away with the fax. While I was home my real estate team (mom and dad) relocated us to a new company and a new office. In this new office I don't even have an office. It was a weird day. But good. The new co-workers are so nice. They don't even mind explaining how to use the fax machine and scanner 1000 times.
My wonderful family is helping me with Tucker while Madeline is at school. I am soooo blessed to have them. Thank you Mimi and Gigi and Aunt Sandra. It means everything to me to be able to leave Tucker in your care.
First week back and I wrote up an offer for my wonderful sister in law. Working for her was a great way to start back...reminded me of what I love about my "other" job. Now if I could just figure out that darn scanner/fax/copier/time machine/rocket ship!

i am jealous. i really am. i love working. having coffee. answering the phone. feeling important. and not because you can change a diaper with only two wipes.
ReplyDeletethere was a girl at starbucks last night. she was walking in as clint, pratt and i were leaving. clint said, "is that allison!?". she was so pretty, allie. long dark hair. it wasn't you...but it looked like you and made me miss you.
