When I was still pregnant with Tucker two weeks seemed to go by soooo slowly. Now, two weeks have flown by and at the same time I feel like he has been here forever.
Madeline is doing so much better over the past couple of days. I decided I was going to be calm, no matter what. I am choosing my battles and I have to admit that I am losing most of them. But, if getting her way is just a matter of having a cookie for a snack instead of a banana then I can handle that for right now. We'll have bananas for dinner (and a special thank you to Gwen Stefani for making sure that I will know how to spell b-a-n-a-n-a-s! forever).
Yesterday Madeline was precious. She wanted me to put Tucker in his swing which I did and then she got dressed for school and took care of Tucker until she left. She made sure he was warm and cozy and tucked a blanket around him and then turned the swing up to the highest setting (which I have not done, I was afraid he'd puke). He didn't puke. He loved it! He fell asleep almost immediately and slept for 30 precious minutes after Madeline left. Thanks Madeline for making sure Mommy had an opportunity to get the house cleaned up yesterday.
You are the BEST big sister.
Last week was a different story. Every request was met with resistance. A nap meant two hours of uninterrupted play time for Madeline instead of actually napping. She did some major room redecorating.
Tucker is still doing great. He loves his sister too. He coos at her and always seems to follow her around a room with his eyes. He never seems upset when she crawls all over us. He is fitting in really well. He loves his bouncy seat and swing and looks EXACTLY like his Daddy. Oh well, I would be concerned about two children that looked exactly like their Daddy if their Daddy was ugly. Good thing I married a handsome one :) !!
