It's funny how with Madeline I planned and planned and planned. I know that for her first 2 birthdays I had her party, outfits, cake, decorations, and invitations planned at least a month in advance. Tucker's second birthday is in about 2 weeks and I just ordered his invitations today.
And it is not that I am too busy with 2 kids to order them. It's that I feel like procrastinating might make time stop. It is very deliberate.
Now I know how fast these birthdays go. I have no idea how Tucker has gotten to 2 so fast and I have NO idea where Madeline's years 3-5 have gone. With two kids time goes into warp speed. Memories x's 2, playing x's 2, discipline x's 2, love x's 2, tickling x's 2...you get the point...you do everything twice everyday and the day goes by twice as fast. It has literally happened in a blink.
So you might get your invitation to Tucker's party the day of his party because that is the day that I might be able to accept that he IS going to be 2- no matter what I do to try and slow it down.

love the new background. seriously, i'd like it in a wallpaper for my home, please.
ReplyDeletei can't believe tucker is almost 2. what's even crazier is how young madeline looks in that picture up top!!! she was such a little baby when he was born. and now she's so grown up.
i'm now depressed.
I know Hannah. That's the thing I can't wrap my head around now. She seemed so big when we had him. So grown up. Now I realize what a baby she was and how unrealistic the expectations I placed on her were when he was born. But here we are. Things are better (most days). :-)
