We had a great couple of snow days. Every year Madeline anticipates big snow and every year it hasn't quite been what she expected- too icy, too little accumulation, we haven't had this much good snow since her first winter- she was too little to get out and enjoy it. She and her Daddy made a great "snow princess."
Madeline and I went sledding. And she and Mamie made snow angels and played hide and seek. Madeline wasn't happy about it being time to go home.
She LOVED sledding- with me. She went down once by herself and it was pretty fast and she nearly took me out in an AFHV moment. After that she wanted to start very low on the hill and go slowly. We worked our way back up. It was so much fun!
This was the first attempt. We only had a box lid. It didn't work. A friend came to the rescue. Grampsy would've pushed her all the way down that hill though.
Our walk to the lake. She loved cracking the ice in the gutters along the way. I do too. I love how the bubbles slide all around trapped under the ice.
Our snow princess.
Tucker wasn't much for being out in the cold, or making a snow man, but he loved eating snow and drinking hot cocoa to warm back up his little frozen hands!
I cannot, for the life of me, get my kids to just stand and smile for the camera. Madeline struck a dance pose- wish this pic captured the whole thing. Arms out, one leg behind her. A ballet move I'm sure.
I am so jealous of Tucker's eyes. They are so beautiful. He is so bad, though. Can't you see it?
My sweet little girl has had a great time. Back to our normal routine tomorrow. I'm not ready.
