Fishing Derby

A few weeks ago our town had a community wide fishing derby at the lake a few minutes walk from our house. I wanted to call our babysitter and spend a few hours away with my husband that night but Tyler wanted to spend the evening with the kids at the derby. Can't fault a man for wanting to spend time with his family!

We had a good time. I sat on a blanket watching Tyler fish with Madeline's 2 ft. Barbie fishing rod while Tucker ate dirt, threw rocks, and tried to walk off into the lake and while Madeline danced, told everyone she was a princess, and picked flowers. She did fish for a few minutes but she grew bored with it quickly. It was a great night.
