Madeline brought home a bouquet of flowers for me from Bradford. I am so proud- I think she's a pretty great artist!
By far the best Mother's Day present I could ever receive- and I will treasure it forever!
The first card she ever signed her name on! All by herself!
This picture is blurry but I am so happy to have it! All the girls (minus Madeline) got together and went to the fancy brunch downtown. Tucker had an okay time but I know he would have loved being in the "country" with his sister!
I had a wonderful "mother's four or five days." When the kids were picked up from MDO on Thursday they brought home little flower pots with fingerprint bugs painted all over them and planted with pretty purple flowers (that are STILL alive, yay!). When I had dropped Madeline off Wednesday morning she had immediately sat down and gone to work on a coloring project and I overheard her teacher say to her that she was proud of her for working on that so hard for 2 days, trying to color it just right. Well, it was a picture of a bouquet of flowers for me and inside it Mrs. Stacy had written why Madeline said she loves her Mom..."because she gives me hugs and reads me stories."
The weekend brought cards and more flowers from the kids (and Tyler) and something so unexpected and sweet that it brought tears to my eyes. Madeline was able to write "mom" on the outside of my card this year and sign her name on the inside. So so so special. She is so grown up.
So happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers and mothers to be. There is no better gift than the gift of a child's love.
